Upcoming are many of the parish events and other opportunities for worship and fellowship. 

2023 Series and Groups (Contact groups directly for current and detailed information)

Women’s AA Group meets at 6 p.m. Monday in the undercroft hall. Open to the public.

Men’s AA Group meets at 7:15 p.m. in the Burroughs Room. Open to the public. 

Men’s Big Book Club (private) meets Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.

Al-Anon Women’s Group meets Wednesday 9:30 a.m. in the Burroughs Room.

AA Mixed Gender Group meets Thursday 6 p.m. in the undercroft.

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) Support Group on Saturday mornings in Saint Martin’s Church (Time 8 a.m.). Open to the public.

NAMI Support Group each Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. meets in the choir room. Open to the public.

Church School for Children at 10 am Sundays (through May; then September through December). See Katie Clark for weekly schedule and special events (Children’s Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Pageant).

Youth Group Gatherings, including outdoor activities, parties, service opportunities, and more; planned monthly (announced in advance). Includes participation in diocesan youth events and the resources of Bellwether Farm (https://bellwetherfarm.com/).

Christ Care Journeying Group for Women meets Tuesdays at 10 am. Limited membership designed for effective small group encounter. 

Men’s Thursday Study Group at 3 p.m. Zoom. Currently reading All Things New by Pete Hughes. 

Ecumenical Vespers Service at the South Franklin Circle Community Center (4 p.m.), sponsored by Saint Martin’s Church (Third Sunday Monthly). Returning after community health can be assured. 

Poetry Group, meets monthly to read and discuss a variety of poems, based on the choices of the group members (TBA monthly). Currently meets at 7 pm via Zoom. 

Lenten Series, meets for five weeks in Lent as a Christian Formation opportunity, beginning with Evening Prayer, then a light supper in the Burroughs Room.

Fall Teaching Series, meets for six weeks in the fall season for Christian Formation (Wednesdays, 6:15 pm).

Sunday Midhour Forum (9 am Sundays in the library) meets periodically as announced (seasonally in Advent and on other special occasions); a Christian Formation opportunity for adults.

DOK Gatherings, including monthly meetings of the Saint Martin’s chapter of the International Order of the Daughters of the King (Sundays TBA), as well as diocesan events of the DOK (announced in advance), such as Spring Assembly and Fall Assembly.

Holy Week Events, including Maundy Thursday Dinner, Good Friday Stations of the Cross (outdoors), and Good Friday Blues & Lamentations Concert-Liturgy by Gateway Jazz Band (see Calendar List and Events Drop Down on Home Page).

CVCC Meetings, the bimonthly conferences of the Chagrin Valley Council of Churches, the ecumenical ministerium to which we belong and with whom we cooperate in ministry (TBA to participants). Includes churches of the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Episcopal, Methodist, Congregational, Presbyterian traditions.

Diocesan Events of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, including workshops, convention, Christian Formation opportunities, convocation, clergy days and conference, and more (announced in advance, www.dohio.org).

Parish Life Annual Events, including Shrove Tuesday Supper (March), Annual Picnic (June), Hotdog and a Hike (August), Rally Sunday (September) and more.

Outreach Annual Events, including CROP Walk (April), Trinity Cathedral Feeding Program (TBA signup), MedWish (TBA signup), SOAP (TBA), Outreach Fundraisers (TBA), Bainbridge Food for Friends (ongoing), Advent Giving Basket (November-December).

Quarterly Fellowship Events sponsored by Parish Life, including a Spring Fling and Summer Celebration (TBA).
